The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has opined that chaos records in parliament on Monday, December 20, 2021was due to what he has termed as E-Intransigence over the obnoxious E-Levy.
He referred to the commotion in parliament as regrettable E-Chaos.
He said Ghanaians voted for this course t parliament because they want the MPs to be mature, humble, show leadership, and eschew impunity.
He indicated that Ghanaians want governance that respects the views of all political opposition and the masses.
“It should be clear to all those intoxicated with power that when the people vote for a hung parliament, they are mandating elected officials to exhibit the highest form of leadership, maturity, humility, eschew impunity and commit to a kind of governance arrangement that respects the views of all, particularly the political opposition and the masses.
It is time to listen, swallow all the pride, drop the offensive E-Levy and invite adults into the room,” he opined.
Parliament on Monday evening went into a state of confusion and commotion over the controversial e-levy.
It was a free all fight as some members of parliament were assaulted from both sides of the House.
