The Member of Parliament Builsa South Dr. Clement Apaak says the position of the Minority in Parliament has not changed although the House has been suspended sine die.
The legislator says the Minority remains resolute and will not compromise their position on the E-Levy.
De. Apaak noted that the bill would not see the light of day no matter the unconstitutional tactics and disregard for parliamentary proceedings from the side of the NPP in parliament.
He said the government had disregarded calls by stakeholders and experts on the E-Levy and has planned to approve it at all cost.
He assured Ghanaians that nothing would stop the Minority from stopping the government from imposing the 1.75% E-Levy on Ghanaians.
Hr asked Ghanaians to trust in the Minority because they have their interest at heart and no amount of deliberate intimidation will scare them from ensuring that the government is held to account.
”KILLER E-levy – The 1st Deputy Speaker has adjourned the house sine die! This means we are on recess.
But Ghanaians should be assured that our NO E-levy position will not change. We will continue to stand with the suffering people of Ghana!
Thank you all for your caution, prayers and encouragement. In Solidarity!”
