Chairman of the True Drivers Union Paa Willie has opined that the government has no moral right in asking Ghanaians to adhere to the safety protocols.
He claims that the government and appointees are not respecting the safety protocols put in place to contain the spread of the virus but want Ghanaians to do the same.
Paa Willie speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm asserted that the government has failed in dealing with the management of the outbreak holistically.
He took his gun on the regional minister for the Greater Accra Region Henry Quartey for his directive for beaches to be closed.
He described the directive as populist and hypocritical.
To him, the delegates congress organized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was a breeding ground for the spread of the virus and yet they went ahead to organize it.
He said it makes no sense for the NPP to organize the delegates congress and ask beaches to close.
He lamented that beach owners have incurred debts since they had planned events for the festive season.
On the issue of the directive from the Police warning prophets to be cautious of their prophecies, he claimed that the government was using the Police to gag prophets.
He urged prophets to disregard the statement from the Police and prophesy.
