Residents at Hubor in the Greater Accra region have complained bitterly of not having access to electricity for nearly a month in the area.
The angry residents say for the past three weeks, they have slept in the dark without access to power.
The situation they lamented has affected their business and other activities.
Reporting the story on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Rainbow Radio’s Banahene Agyekum said the residents say the main transformer that distributes power in the area is faulty.
But the Electricity Company of Ghana has failed to repair it.
They alleged that several reports to authorities have yielded no positive results.
The area they explained has become dangerous since suspected thieves have taken advantage of the situation to steal.
Some of them have not had the opportunity to call their relatives or friends for the past three weeks.
Others have also been forced to buy power banks to charge their phones for them to stay in touch with friends and family.
