Seven persons have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident which occurred Tuesday, January 18 at Nima, a suburb of Accra.
The Director-General of the Public Affairs Department of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Kwesi Ofori, disclosed that two of the seven are on admission under security guard.
He indicated that there was a clash between two rivalry groups at Nima, an incident that scared residents.
One person was shot during the clash.
The victim is currently receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital.
“Nima, a suburb of Accra witnessed gangsterism and mass violence around 3:30pm and the police quickly and immediately intervened”, ACP Kwesi Ofori told pressmen.
