Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia jas commended the Ambulance Service for their role in rescuing lives at Bogoso following the explosion that killed some 17 persons.
The Vice in his submission said the Service has played a key role in the rescue operations.
He made the remarks when he led a government delegation to visit the area where the incident occurred.
He said the Ambulance Service has played a major role in the rescue efforts. The rescue efforts were well-coordinated by the security agencies including the Police, Fire Service, Ghana Armed Forces.
He added that we were very fortunate to fall on 11ambulances for the rescue efforts after the incident.
Dr. Bawumia commended all the security services for their role and collaboration in the rescue efforts.
Some 77 persons were affected by the explosion out of which 17 have been confirmed deadly authorities.
