A suspected thief has died after he was allegedly lynched by some students of the Akro Secondary Technical School after he had allegedly invaded the school with another accomplice.
The incident occurred around 10pm on Friday, January 21, 2022.
The said thief who has been identified as Sackitey Emmanuel was rushed to the hospital but could not survive.
He was pronounced dead on arrival by hospital authorities.
The second suspect who survived the physical assault is currently in critical condition at the St. Martins De Poress Hospital.
He has also been identified as Odoi Solomon.
The two allegedly invaded the school and were arrested and physically assaulted until they became unconscious.
The Police got wind of the incident and went to the school.
They sent the suspects to the hospital but Sackitey was pronounced dead.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
