A bereaved family is after a mortuary man for burying their deceased family member without their knowledge.
The incident occurred in a community in the Kwahu District of the Eastern Region.
The family had sent their deceased relative Maame Ataa to the mortuary for preservation.
But when they went back to retrieve the body, the mortuary man told them he had buried the body on grounds that it had gone bad.
The mortuary man told them that the body was part of a mass burial exercise.
A family member, Mr. Twum Barimah told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that they are currently shocked at the issue.
He disclosed that they did not understand why the mortuary man buried their family member without their knowledge.
He disclosed that the body was preserved at the mortuary because it was involved in an ongoing court case.
He revealed that the body was kept to help the police investigate an alleged murder case which was currently pending in court.
