The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has hinted at their preparedness for the implementation of the yet-to-be approved E-levy policy proposal.
A statement issued by the GRA said it is currently a monitoring platform for the full implementation of the E-levy if it is approved.
“As you may be aware, the Electronic Transfer Levy Bill is under consideration by Parliament. While we await the passage of the Bill into Law, I wish to inform you to hold yourself in readiness for the implementation of the levy in three (3) phases as soon as the Bill is passed into law,” a letter written and signed by he Commissioner-General of GRA, Rev. Dr Ammishaddai Owusu-Asamoah to the ARP Apex Bank said.

The move is to help Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to undertake a sensitization tour in certain parts of the country to educate the citizens of the passing of the Bill for the benefit of the country.
