The Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Chief Executive in the Eastern Region Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng has described the gory accident which claimed the lives if four persons as painful and unfortunate.
The MCE said the accident is one that has hit the residents hard.
Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he disclosed that they have decided to rotate the taxi rank in the area.
He said the reason to relocate the taxi rank is to help clear the road to prevent such an occurrence again.
He further advised drivers to use other routes in the area and not to depend only on the main road.
He also cautioned heavy duty cars to use the approved route for their cars and stop using the road meant for other vehicles.
Four persons died in a road accident at Nsawam Mobil in the Eastern Region on Monday afternoon.
Nsawam District Police Commander, Superintendent Marian Osei Adu Owusu disclosed to the media that nine others have been severely injured.
The deceased persons were deposited at the Nsawam Government Morgue and the injured were sent to the Nsawam Government Hospital to receive treatment.
The Police report had explained that the articulated truck veered off the road at Aburi Junction, Nsawam, and crashed into three taxis.
