The Chief Executive of the Association of Oil Marketing Companies Kwaku Agyeman Duah has disclosed that the price for fuel per liter would cross Ghc8 by Match 2022.
He has therefore asked the public to prepare for that.
According to him, if the prices on the international market keeps increasing, then the general public must expect increment in petroleum products in Ghana.
He explained that following the rise in the dollar against the cedi, as well as the sporadic increments in petroleum product prices on the international market, we should expect the price in Ghana to increase.
He averred that some of their members had no choice than to shut down since they could not meet the high cost of doing business.
“You know we have got the taxes there, and the other levies and you have got your margin now if the taxes are too high you may have to forgo your margin. Now when you forgo your margin what do you use to pay your workers?” he said.
