Managing Director for Ghana Airport Company Limited, Yaw Kwakwa, says he has not received any letter considering his dismissal.
President Akufo-Addo has sacked the Managing Director for Ghana Airport Company Limited, Yaw Kwakwa.
A letter from the Minister of Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, pointed out that the President has directed that the MD’s appointment be terminated since 31st January 2022.
The reason for the action was not stated in the letter, but some have attributed it to the standoff between the Ghana Airport Company and the private businessman McDan Aviation.
But when asked by journalists after a tour at the Airport whether he was aware of his dismissal he said he was not aware.
”I don’t know what you are talking about. My appointment has not been terminated.”
When asked if he would be surprised if he is informed about his sacking, he responded by saying when he gets to that bridge, he would cross it.
