An Accra Circuit Court has granted New Patriotic Party’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly referred to as Abronye DC 100,000 bail with two sureties.
He was dragged to court on Wednesday following his claim that former President John Dramani Mahama was plotting a coup against Ghana.
He has being charged with publication of false news and engaging in conduct conducive to the breach of peace.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The two sureties are to deposit their passport and valid ID to the Registrar.
The prosecution said they are to file their disclosures and witness statements within two weeks.
The case has been adjourned to March 9.
