The Member of Parliament for Builsa South Dr. Clement Apaak has stated that no NDC MP has said he/she supports the obnoxious E-levy. How can Social Democrats ever support an extortion scheme that will impoverish already suffering masses.
The MP maintains that the position of the Minority is clear, and that they don’t support E-levy and will vote against it any day anytime.
He challenged the NPP to present the bill before the House so they will debate on it.
“Instead of wasting money on fruitless town hall meetings, the NPP side should activate the processes for us to take the Killer E-Levy bill, debate, and vote on it. Or they should withdraw it.
The NPP should stop the lies, fabrications, and attempted blackmail, because that will not change our position.”
He added: “We will vote against E-levy, that is a resolve and a promise we have made to Ghanaians, our constituents, and ourselves.
Our party, our 2020 flagbearer (incoming 2024 flagbearer), and Ghanaians have given us their blessings and we will not disappoint.
137 No votes against E-levy is NOT negotiable,” he concluded.
