The Ministry of Education has denied claims by the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) that the ministry was recruiting headteachers to fill STEM schools across the country.
The Ministry indicated that the allegation is misrepresented fact and has created a wrong impression about the interference of work between the Ministry and its agency, the Ghana Education Service (GES).
“We would like to place on record that the Ministry of Education has no plans to recruit headmasters for the New Stem Schools. Neither has the Ministry made any advertisements to that effect,” Spokesperson for the Ministry, Kwasi Kwarteng Frimpong said.
He was responding to claims by the National Association of Graduate Teachers that Ministry of Education of putting out an advertisement inviting applicants to apply for the headteacher positions at STEM schools.
But, the Ministry has described the allegations as false.
