A former Essienimpong polling station youth organizer, polling station chairman, electoral area coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Aaron Prince Duah has petitioned the party demanding that the election organised in Ejisu quashed.
He is claiming that persons appointed to overseer to the successful organization of the pls breached laid down procedures.
According to him, there were anomalies that characterised the election of the Polling Station Executives in Ejisu Constituency from Friday 25th February 2022 to Saturday 26th February 2022.
“Under Article 6(1) of the New Patriotic Party Constitution that provides for Polling Station organisation as well as Article 18 on guidelines for the operations for the party at all levels, rules and regulations have been made by the National Council of the NPP for the conduct of Polling Station elections.
The Polling Station and Electoral Area Elections Committee constituted in Ejisu constituency to oversee the election of the Polling Station Executives failed to adhere to the laid down rules and regulations governing this election. We appeal to the Regional and National Executives of the New Patriotic Party to declare the election conducted in the Ejisu constituency null and void,” he added.
