A New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling station aspirant in the Ablekuma West Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Prince Attiley, has filed an interlocutory injunction on the impending polling station elections in the constituency.
He seeks to prevent the party from.organizing the polls until the determination of the case.
According to him, the constituency failed to do due deligents during the sale of the polling station forms.
The writ was filed at the Accra High Court on March 1, 2022.
The writ by Prince Attiley seeks to set aside the work by the election committee on sale of the polling station executive elections.
The suit was filed against five defendants and they are Osei Puni, member of the election committee and the constituency chairman, Alexander Amoakohene, who is the election committee secretary and the constituency secretary, Boye Laryea who is the chairman of the election committee, Alhaji Abu, chairman of the council of elders, Odarlae Parker, who is the greater Accra Regional NPP secretary and the Greater Accra Regional supervisor of the election committees and the NPP as party.
He added that the party’s sale of forms was not fair in the constituency.
