The Chiefs and People of Sekyere Krobo in the Wassa East District of the Western Region have enstooled Assistant Divisional Officer Grade One (ADO I) Elizabeth Naana Gaisie, an Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service with the Agona Swedru Command as Queen Mother for Sekyere Krobo.
The coronation ceremony saw a number of high- spirited Fire Personnel in attendance to witness the initiation of their Colleague into the Traditional Leadership Position.
Nana Ama Kyerewaa II, as she is now known, joined the Service in 1992.
She was then posted to the Fire Safety Department at the National Headquarters in Accra where she worked for barely a year.
She was later posted to the Fire Service Band (Alpha Flames) in Accra where she served as one of the lead vocalists of the band at the time. She was then transferred to Cape Coast in the Central Region in 1993.
In 2017, she was upgraded into the Senior Corps after successful completion of a Cadet course to the rank of Assistant Divisional Officer Grade One (ADO I). She was later transferred to Agona Swedru where she is currently stationed as the Head of the Band.
According to the GNFS, the choice of installing ADO I Elizabeth Naana Gaisie as the Queen Mother of Sekyere Krobo and Nifahemaa of Sekyere Heman Traditional Area was fundamentally hinged on the fact that she is a member of the royal family of that Traditional Area and has unquestionable private and public life-style over the years.
“Management of the Service wishes her well in this important endeavour. Long live Nana Ama Kyerewaa II,” the service said.
