The Ashanti Regional Police Command is is on a manhunt for a four (4) member armed robbery gang, who in the dawn of today Thursday, 10th March 2022, robbed a commercial bus.
The Police in a statement said the robbery incident occurred at about 4:00 am fired gunshots into a commercial bus at Woraso along the Mampong- Ejura road killing one person and wounding one other.
The Police says it is currently pursuing the suspected robbers in the bushes and the surrounding towns to get them arrested.
“The Command is therefore appealing to the residents and members of the community along the stretch to collaborate with the Police in order to get the criminals arrested as soon as possible,” the Palace said.
“Meanwhile, the Police are in contact with the family of the victims and they are being taken through psychological and counselling sessions, whiles the investigation continues. The injured person is in a stable condition receiving medical treatment.
