Groom dies in a road accident on his way to his marriage ceremony

A groom who was on his way to his marriage ceremony met his untimely death through a road crash.

The groom, Mohammed Zakari, lost his life in a car accident whilst on his way to his marriage ceremony ground on Sunday, March 13.

Police Inspector interdicted for leaving rifle in commercial vehicle

The unfortunate incident occurred at Fumesua on the Kumasi-Accra highway around 1:00pm.

According to the Police, a Ford Escape vehicle with registration number AS 3222-21 in which the groom was travelling lost control and ran into a ditch.

He was with four of his friends in the car when the accident occurred.

He reportedly died on the spot with the four others sustaining serious injuries.

They were rushed were rushed to KNUST Hospital for medical care.

Meanwhile, one of the victims who sustained life-threatening injury has since been transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for advance treatment.

The bride has since been in coma after suffering from a traumatic shock.

The deceased has been buried, according to Islamic rites.
