Bawumia must be fished out from every hole he is hiding to comment on depreciated cedi-Businessman

March 17, 2022

A Ghanaian businessman, Musa Abubakar, aka Master Musa, has asked Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to break his silence on the economic challenges confronting the nation.

Master Musa says it is not only shocking that the man who was described as the economic messiah and guru has gone silent despite the depreciation of the cedi against major currencies, including the dollar but a testament that he was only making empty promises.

He averred that ”Dr. Bawumia in opposition had all the answers in managing the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar, but he has gone silent on these same issues he organised lectures for as an opposition leader. Where is he? We are looking for him to come and explain to us what is happening today.

The level of depreciation today is unprecedented and affecting our businesses. We need to know the solutions, he has up his sleeves because we are struggling. We can no longer bear the suffering.”

The businessman described the current level of suffering in Ghana as historical and has called on the President and his government to tell Ghanaians what they will do to resolve the challenges confronting us today.

He said, ”business owners are struggling. Customers are attacking and fighting with us when we increase our goods and services because they do not know that the dollar is depreciating against the dollar. Dr. Bawumia was moving from region to region, with public lectures, but he is nowhere to be found.

Since I started my business in the 1990ss, I have never witnessed this level of depreciation in my life. We are struggling, and we want Dr. Bawumia to come out from his hideout and speak to us. His silence is surprising, and we want him to break it.”

Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm he added ”our leaders must get to the ground and see for themselves what we are talking about. I am not exaggerating. I am speaking the truth”.
