Former head coach of the Women’s Premier League side, Sea Lions, Maapa Nkoom has disclosed the reasons why he resigned from his job as head coach.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the coach said he discovered the team was not serious.
He told host Kwabena Agyapong that “the management of the team was not doing the right thing hence he had no option but to resign”.
He said “the management of the team was not proper. They were not doing the right thing. They were not releasing funds to manage the team and so I had to resign”.
He further explained that “as someone who had travelled across the world and have experience in coaching, I did not enjoy the structure of the team and how they managed issues.
“I have travelled to 5 countries and knew the structures of the team were poor. I am an experienced coach and with my years of experience, I could not keep coaching the team that had a poor plan and poor management style,” he added.
