This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the passing of President John Evans Atta-Mills and it also marks the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), which was effectively established by the late President.
In appreciation of the visionary leadership of the late President in establishing a unique public University in the Volta Region which is configured for the training of Allied Sciences Health students, UHAS has for the past 6 years been honouring the memory President John Evans Atta-Mills with Annual Memorial Lectues.
This year’s lecture is under the theme “Sustaining Environmental Sanitation Gains through Specialised Education”.
The lecture is scheduled to take place at the Cedi Auditorium UHAS, main campus, Sokode-Lokoe on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
Speaker for the lecture is the Founder and Executive Chairman, the Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong.
The lecture would be under the chairmanship of Prof. John O. Gyapong, Vice-Chancellor, UHAS.

Meanwhile, as part of 10th-anniversary celebration, the school is set to organize two floats.
The first float will begin and ends at Tralfalgar gate, Ho with the second float expected to begin and end at HMH gate.
This will be followed by the anniversary launch and commissioning of Professor Kofi Anyidoho Auditorium on April 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at Tralfalgar campus, Ho.
Professor Kofi Anyidoho was the first Chairman of the UHAS Council and the commissioning of the Auditorium in his name is in recognition of the pioneering role he and his Team played in giving the University a very sound and solid foundation.

The anniversary celebration would be climaxed with the second session of the 6th Congregation on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 9:00 am at UHAS Main Campus, Sokode-Lokoe.
