Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu has noted that President Akufo-Addo should have fired lawyer Sarah Adwoa Safo if he was serious and running a serious government.
He asserted that Adwoa Safo had not been sacked because the government is not serious.
He posited that the President has the power to hire and fire hence it makes no sense for Adwoa Safo-who was granted a leave of absence by the President for an unstated period- to keep holding her office.
Ras Mubarak speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm opined that “this government is not serious. I will tell you for a fact. For how long has Adwoa Safo has been out of the country? How long has she been away? And why do we keep extending her leave of absence?”
He told host Kwabena Agyapong that, “the minister should have been sacked by the President. President Akufo-Addo has the right to hire and fire and she must be fired. She is exhibiting a high sense of indiscipline. The NPP has confessed that she is holding the government to ransom and any appointee holding the government to ransom is exhibiting a high sense of indiscipline.”
