A 46-year-old man, Alex Quainoo, has allegedly shot his wife, Victoria Asiedu for refusing to give him Ghc2 to buy alcohol.
The suspect is a farmer and hunter based at Assin Bepokokoo in the Assin South District of the Central Region.
The victim narrating the incident said her husband had earlier requested a torchlight to go on snail hunting.
The suspect who is currently on the run returned from his hunting around 8 pm on Easter Saturday and demanded 2 cedis for alcohol but when the victim could not afford it, he engaged her in an argument.
The suspect then threatened to kill her and without provocation, fatally shot the victim in her two palms after missing the targeted neck.
The victim is currently on admission at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu.
