Ghana has commenced a collaborative program with the British High Commission to support the repositioning of Ghana’s Information Services Department (ISD).
Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah disclosed this in a post on his official Facebook page.
According to him, the Government Communication Services in the United Kingdom will be helpful in this regard.
He said ”Commissioner, Harriet Thompson assured us of her cooperation and readiness to support our work of improving the media ecosystem in Ghana during a courtesy call.
”We also used the opportunity to highlight our support for the media through the National Media Commission (NMC) to roll out a framework to provide a safe space for journalists in Ghana and our media capacity enhancement programme,” he revealed.
