A Deputy Ranking Member on the Education Committee of Parliament Dr. Clement Apaak has presented 200 desks to the education directorate in his constituency for distribution to selected schools.
The move forms part of a long-standing initiative to support deprived schools in his constituency.

The MP had already supported some deprived schools in the constituency.
He is currently mobilising resources to help roof the roofs of some 21 schools in his constituency and has asked individuals and groups to support the initiative.

The desks were presented on his behalf by Mr. Kazi, Builsa South NDC Secretary to the education directorate over the week.
The MP in a brief message said “Furniture for Select Schools – 200 pieces of duel desk furniture were presented to the GES director on my behalf by Mr. Kazi, Builsa South NDC Secretary this morning. Clearly this is not enough, but I will keep working at it.

As well, I’m doing my best to mobilise resources to roof the schools which had roofs ripped off by the rainstorms. At least 21 classrooms across the constituency need their roofs fixed. Any help is welcome.”
