The National Security Ministry has appealed to the general public to be vigilant in areas of mass gatherings, especially at public places of entertainment and worship such as mosques and churches.
The call was contained in a statement issued and signed by Albert Kan-Dapaah, the Minister.
The statement added that although the employment of guards, security gadgetry and lighting of areas surrounding the areas of public gatherings will be of help, vigilance was paramount.
The Minister asked Ghanaians to take personal responsibility and look out for each other.
The Minister raised concerns over what he described as a growing threat of terrorism in the sub-region.
