The Ministry of Foreign has cautioned the public agents traveling to the Gao region of Northern Mali.
A statement issued by the Ministry referred to the recent abduction and killing of some Ghanaians.
Commercial drivers who ply the Gao region have also been advised to suspend all travel to the area.
Ghanaians who are also living in Gao have been asked to leave immediately for their own safety.
Those who are unable to leave for some reason have also been asked to minimize their movements.
