A Greater Accra Regional Secretary hopeful in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) regional elections, Emmanuel Clottey, has denied claims that Henry Quartey, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, has lost steam.
According to him, contrary to claims that the Minister had lost the vibe and strength he had when he began work as Minister, he is rather working and doing his best.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said the reason why people think the Minister is not working as he used to is that he has allowed the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to work for him to focus on the bigger things.
He told the host Kwabena Agyapong that the Minister was seen taking certain roles because the various MMDCEs had not been appointed.
But after they were appointed, he had to allow them to work, and he will look at the bigger picture.
He described Henry Quartey as a strategic minister who is focused on ensuring that Accra works again.
”Henry Quartey is working towards the greater picture. You know he is committed to making Accra an automobile hub. This is a whole city engineering and the Henry Quartey I know is a strategic personality who will work in achieving this goal. He is not lost his steam as a Minister,” he added.
