Bawumia is a failure, Alan is the best as Prez candidate for NPP- Political analyst

May 27, 2022

Political analyst, lecturer, and economist Dr. Julius Kattah has placed Trades Minister Alan Kyeremanten as the best presidential candidate to represent the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.

He says the Minister who is one of the front runners for the presidential slot of the NPP is far superior and a problem solver compared to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He was responding to a question on whether the suggestion by some individuals for the NPP to pair the Trades Minister and the Vice President for the 2024 polls.

Dr. Kattah told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that, the Vice President as a leader of the Economic Management Team has failed to show his worth despite being touted as an economist.

He explained that the party needs a tough-minded person, with exceptional leadership qualities to help resolve the challenges confronting Ghana at the moment.

He noted that Alan Cash as he is affectionately called possesses these qualities as a leader and electing him as the presidential candidate will give the NPP a better chance compared to Dr. Bawumia.

He said “this is my personal opinion. Some will say that because Dr. Bawumia is the Vice President, he would be the best President. But I disagree because he does not have what it takes. I believe Alan Cash can do better than Bawumia. He understands economic, social and other issues. This puts him ahead of Dr. Bawumia who has failed as a leader of the Economic Management Team.”
