Deputy General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), lawyer Obiri Boahen has indirectly endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the best choice for the position of presidential candidate.
Although he did not mention his name directly on grounds that national executives have been asked not to endorse anyone, his comments pointed to Dr. Bawumia.
”I am heading towards Mamprusi to choose my choice as a presidential candidate. As a national officer, you are not supposed to campaign for anyone but I will go for the candidate from Mamprusi,” he said.
Lawyer Obiri Boahen when pushed further said the person he is supporting is someone who believes in digitization.
The politician said he will soon launch a new era in his political life and was hopeful his choice of candidate will win.
