About 16 military personnel have sustained various degrees of injuries after they were involved in an accident at Anum Apapam.
According to a statement issued by the Ghana Armed Forces, the personnel were embarking on operation halt duties when the accident occurred.
The personnel drawn from the Southern Command were embarking on operation halt II to stop illegal mining on some water bodies in parts of the Eastern Region.
The GAF said the accident occurred on Wednesday along the Suhum Anum Apapam road when the military truck in which they were travelling suddenly developed a mechanical fault causing it to tip-off.
