A Tamale Circuit Court has remanded into prison custody the National Service person involved in the issuance of fake Ghana Education Service (GES) appointments and posting letters in the Northern Region.
The suspect, Ziblim Abdul Latif, pleaded not guilty and was charged with forgery of documents and signature and conspiracy to commit crime.
He is national service personnel undergoing his mandatory national service at the Yendi Senior High School.
The court further issued a bench warrant for the arrest of two other persons in connection with the same crime.
The suspect has been accused of issuing fake GES appointments and posting letters to over 100 unsuspecting jobseekers and taking huge sums of monies from them.
The matter was reported to the Police by the Northern Regional Director of Education, Dr. Peter Attafuah, on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
The court has adjourned the case to July 5, 2022.
