The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has interdicted four more officers following the disturbances at Islamic Senior High School on Monday, June 13.
It has emerged that the interdicted officers were part of the team that said to have video-recorded the clash.
The affected officers are a Chief Inspector, an Inspector, and two Corporals.
The identities of these officers have not been disclosed.
The IGP commenting on the matter said any personnel found culpable will be dealt with according to the law.
“Whatever happened in terms of the policing aspect of it, we are going to look into it and take all actions that need to be taken to ensure that at the end of the day, the right thing is done. We will ensure professionalism is deepened in a way that will not put the life of anybody at risk because as police, we are here to protect lives and properties and if we can’t do that, then we might have failed in our mandate, and it is something that we don’t want to do.”
