Founder and Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, has revealed that some police officers are against the Inspector-General of Police George Akuffo-Dampare because he is firm, incorruptible and courageous.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, she said she believes in the leadership of the current IGP a trillion times because he is not someone who can be influenced to do anyone’s bidding.
Madam Daniels stated that the IGP is not corrupt, cannot be corrupted and for that reason, some police officials are against what he stands for.
She was optimistic the IGP is the one to restore confidence and integrity to the service, and Ghanaians must support him.
”The IGP will not accept a bribe. He is not corrupt and cannot be influenced. And for this reason, some officers are against him. They hate him and want him to fail. But those who are ready to work like him for what is he doing.
I am appealing to Ghanaians to support in with prayers. He will succeed. We have to support him. He is principled, firm, courageous, and someone who has what it takes to restore integrity to the Police Service,” she added.
