The National Coordinator in charge of the Monitoring and Evaluation Secretariat at the Office of the President, Madam Gifty Ohene Konadu, has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of fueling negative propaganda against the government, especially in the Ashanti Region.
The former coordinator at the one-district-one factory secretariat noted that the region has benefitted from several road projects in the area of health, education, the one district one factory initiative and yet, the NDC has rented some persons to throw the dust into the eyes of the public to make the government look bad.
“We are grateful to President Akufo-Addo for giving us our fair share of the national cake, but just like Oliver Twist, we want more.”
On some of the specific projects, she mentioned the Central Market Project, the Abuakwa Dual Carriage Road, the Creative ASrts School, the Asokore Mampong Affordable Project, and the Kumasi Airport Phase II Project, among others.
”We have completed several projects in Kumasi. There are ongoing road projects in the region. Just last week the Vice President cut sod for a state-of-the-art TVET facility. President Akufo-Addo has not abandoned us. We vote massively for the NPP and so, we want more projects”.
Meanwhile, she has assured residents in the region that the government will continue to give the region its fair share of the national cake.
