The Ministry of Information has announced that officials from the International Monetary Fund will arrive in Ghana today, Tuesday, July 5, 2022, and begin discussions with government officials on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
The Ministry said the arrival is pursuant to the directive to the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to officially begin negotiations with the IMF for a possible bailout.
It assured Ghanaians that the government will successfully negotiate a program in support of Ghana’s economic recovery, the statement added.
