The School Feeding Programme has directive caterers working under the programme to continue for beneficiary schools despite the strike action announced by some four pre-tertiary unions.
A statement issued by the GSFP indicated that the directive remains until further notice.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed heads of schools to supervise children in our basic schools following the declaration of strike action by the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers, the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT) and the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU) over Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA).
They want COLA to be paid before they call off the strike action.
