The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has extended the moratorium to customers for the auditing of meters.
The deadline for the exercise ended on July 6, 2022 but ECG says following the positive feedback from customers, ECG has extended the exercise.
The extension is expected to end on July 20, 2022. Customers are to report to the various districts and regional offices for rectification.
Postpaid customers who have meters but do not receive bills, prepaid customers who do not purchase electricity credits, customers whose meters are faulty, customers who have bypassed or tampered with their meters and are therefore not paying for the full cost of power usage and customers who have engaged in any form of electrical illegality among others are to take advantage of the opportunity for rectification.
