The General Overseer of Power Embassy International Prophet Prince Osei Kofi, says the National Cathedral is a laudable project, but the state should allocate resources for its construction.
Prophet Osei Kofi, wants churches in Ghana, especially the major ones and those consulted on the matter to support the project.
According to him, there are established individuals who are capable of sponsoring the project, hence the state should stop allocating resources for it.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm, Prophet Osei Kofi said there was nothing wrong if the President, wants to construct a cathedral, but in the situation we are in now, it would be a misplaced priority to use state resources for the cathedral. We have serious challenges confronting the nation, and the money could be used for other projects, including roads, hospitals and other projects.
”Don’t use Ghana’s money to build a cathedral for God because it is not in the constitution. It is warranting a lot of insults on the church. Let the church wake up because the disgrace is too much. There are Christians who can come together and build this thing.
He said, the money ministers and other politicians use in sponsoring slay queens, to travel abroad could be used for the cathedral and not state resources.
”Cut down on the Dubai travels for a year and sponsor the cathedral project. Don’t use state resources for the cathedral. Use the money for the construction of roads. The insult on the church is too much,” he stressed.
