The Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), Health Services Workers’ Union (HSWU) and Government and Hospital Pharmacists Association (GHOSPA) have also demanded a 20% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).
The statement jointly signed by the Associations said the demand for COLA for their members is in the light of the prevailing difficult economic situation in the country.
According to them, the government has refused to address their concerns.
For this reason, they have served notice to withdraw all their services on August 1, 2022, if the government does not give them COLA.
”Unfortunately, like other members of Organized Labour, we are yet to receive a favorable response from government.
