The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of briefing delegates to vote for some candidates in the national expletive election.
Speaking on the sidelines of the delegate’s conference which was yet to start, he slammed the government for running the economy into a mess.
He said it was terrible for a government that has run the economy into a mess to bribe delegates.
He quizzed where the candidates were getting the money to be giving it to the delegates to vote in a certain way.
According to him, the NDC was given at 9 am for the conference to start.
However, the conference was yet to start because over 6,500 delegates have not arrived at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Meanwhile, he has asked the government and the NPP to start preparing their handing over notes since they will lose the 2024 presidential election.
“They should begin preparing their handing over notes…We have seen the signs of ostentation. The amount of monies that are being thrown around to entice delegates, from a party that has moved this country to an economic mess, you would have expected that they would have been very very decent in what is happening. But the account we are hearing of monies that are being paid to delegates, the conference should have started at 9 am. We were given 9 am, it is past 12. The delegates are old up, meeting with candidates who are giving them monies at this time. For a government that has driven this economy into a mess, you would ask yourself where are the candidates getting the money? T seems there are two Ghanas, a Ghana for the NPP executives and functionaries and a Ghana for the great of us and it is said,” he declared.
