President has expressed strong optimism that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will break the 8-year-jinx through unity and cohesion.
He has therefore urged delegates to vote for persons who can do the work.
He said the NPP is determined to break the 8-year-electoral cycle in the 2024 general elections but with persons who are committed.
Speaking at the delegates’ conference at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday,y July 16, M.r Akufo-Addo said “Breaking the 8, we shall in 2024.”
For him, it would be historic for the party to remain in office with a candidate that is committed to respecting the fundamental human rights of people and rule of law, good governance, and, sound economic management.
He said the important step towards victory in 2024 would be through the election of committed party executives.
He commended Freddie Blay for his service to the party and especially for serving at a time when there was confusion in 2015.
