The incumbent General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party has been defeated in the just ended national executive election.
John Boadu was defeated by lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong in the keenly contested race.
He polled 2,524 whereas the lawyer polled
Justin Kodua Frimpong garnered 2,837.
The third candidate, Iddrisu Musah Superior polled only 104 votes.
The substantive Women’s Organiser of the party, Kate Gyamfua, was also retained.
Gyamfua polled a 620 votes to beat Hajia Sawudata who polled 32 votes and Ellen Ama Daaku, who polled 9 votes
