Three persons have sustained gunshot wounds during a demonstration at Bibiani in the Western North Region.
Details available indicate that the victims have been rushed to the Bibiani government hospital where they are receiving treatment.
Further details revealed that the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso who doubles as the President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II had gone to Bibiani to perform a rite.
This was to pave the way for the commissioning of the Mensin Mine when the incident happened on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
According to the youth in the area, they organised the demonstration because the mining company had refused to employ them.
