President Akufo-Addo has appointed the Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Madam Lariba Zuweira Abudu as the Minister-designate for the Ministry.
Her appointment comes a few days after the President revoked the appointment of lawyer Sarah Adwoa Safo as Minister.
Her appointment is subject to parliamentary approval, a statement issued and signed by Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communications at the Presidency said.
According to the statement, Francisca Oteng Mensah, the MP for Kwabre East has also been appointed as Deputy Minister-designate for the Ministry.
Her appointment is also subject to parliamentary approval.
