The twenty-three-year-old student, Safina Mohammed Adizatu, was reportedly assisted by one Michael Fiifi Ampofo Arku, a Technical Officer, in committing the crime.
The Police later arraigned the suspect before a court. At the court, the prosecution led by Chief Inspector Jacob Nyarko said that on Sunday, July 24, 2022, Osei, now deceased, visited Safina, his fiancée, who resides at Ashalley Botwe School Junction and decided to spend the night.

The suspect called a police officer saying that her boyfriend visited her and he had died in her room.
The call is said to have been placed on Tuesday, July 26, at about 4 am, Safina called
The prosecution said the police officer called the Police Patrol Team who rushed to the scene and found the body of the deceased lying at the gate of Safina’s house.
However, Safina and Arku were nowhere to be found.
Chief Inspector Nyarko said the police later traced Safina to Ashalley Botwe School Junction and arrested her.
Reacting to the issue, Maame Nyonkopa Daniels posited that the Police officer displayed her sense of professionalism which led to the arrest of the suspect.
To her, these are the type of officers we need in the service to discharge their duties without being compromised.
She said although there are nad nuts in the service, they are equally great officers.
”The officer who was called to the scene has performed so well. Like I always say, we have great Police Officers and bad officers. We need to always commend the officer.”
Meanwhile, she has condemned the incident describing it as shameful and bad.
She also suggested for the case to be properly dealt with so justice would be served.
