The Police have interdicted two police officers following the death of a suspect in cells in the Ashanti region.
The interdicted officers are No. 44908 G/Sgt. Isaac Amponsah Broni and No. 55453 G/Const. Solomon Yeboah.
The interdiction according to the Police is to allow for investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of the suspect who was under detention at the Abrafo-Kokoben Police Station.
The Police in its statement said the interdicted officers revealed that the suspect was arrested on August 4, 2022, fell ill while police custody and was rushed to the hospital for medication but died
