Twenty-nine-year-old mother of Oforikrom near Samraboi within Wassa Amenfi West of the Western region has dipped her three-and-a-half-year-old baby girl in hot water, damaging her buttocks and foot.
The mother claimed the little girl misplaced a pair of footwear bought for her at GHC8 only.
What’s more, she (the mother) has reportedly from neighbours that her daughter has been fingered by some people within the community.
In her way to discipline the poor girl, the mother boiled water and sat her daughter in it leaving her to her fate.
At the moment, the three-ana-a-half-year-old victim is battling wounds on her buttocks and feet at the hospital.
The perpetrator (mother) has since been granted bail upon police arrest while investigations go on.
